Customizing OER
Caption: OER can be customized for the specific needs of a course or student population. OER can be repurposed as long as the original license conditions are adhered to. OER can be used as is, revised with simple edits, combined with other OER, or created and shared.
Open educational resources can be used as is, without any alterations. However, you may want to make some edits to the content for a variety of reasons. Perhaps some information in the resource needs updating, or you might want to personalize the content for your particular campus, or maybe you'd like to combine some content from two different resources. As long as an OER doesn't have a CC ND license (Creative Commons No Derivatives), you may customize the resource to fit your needs.

- What course objectives the resource will support
- Whether you already have a resource you can use
- What tool you will use to create/customize a resource
- What license you will assign to your resource
- Where are you going to share your resource
